October 22,  Saturday, 3:00 PM, Spiral Bridge: Space,  IBTI Dance performance

October  22, 3:00 PM, IBTI.   International Ballet Theater Institutes world renown director, Alexei Badrak and director Ronna Roberts will present a new choreographic work, Spiral Bridge: Space, based upon Ronna Roberts' space paintings in the New Galaxy Room Exhibit, The Children's Museum of Stockton, danced to music composed from classical music and NASA/Jet Propulsion Laboratory space recordings.  The event kicks off with an open house,  short interactive lecture/demo and concludes with the performance.  This is a free event but participants must reserve a space by calling 209 465-7588, or writing ibti1997@sbcglobal.net.                                                                                                       The performance is an excerpt of a work in progress based upon the PhD thesis and book by A. Badrak, and created through collaborations by and between Alexei Badrak, Ronna Roberts and various international arts professionals.    The Galaxy room paintings are painted in three layers, one over the top of the other; one is visible in daylight, one is visible under fluorescent light and one glows in the dark.

International Ballet Theater Institutes directors, world renown director and academic, Alexei Badrak and director Ronna Roberts will present a Sandhill Crane Festival Workshop  during the Sandhill Crane Festival at Hutchins Street Square, Lodi, CA 95240, from 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM, November 5th.  Explore the fascinating life of Sandhill cranes.  Discover the alphabet and body language of Sandhill Cranes, create and perform a crane dance, observe cultural crane dances from around the world. Enjoy a delightful performance of cultural dances juxtaposed to classical and contemporary dance.  Family Fun for ages 5- adult.

International Ballet Theater Institute will present a performance of the Spiral Bridge: Crane Dance as part of an awe inspiring workshop on Sandhill Cranes at the Children's Museum of Stockton, 403 W. Weber Ave, Stockton, CA 95203.  Explore the fascinating life of Sandhill cranes; workshop 9:30 AM- 12:00 PM .  Discover the alphabet and body language of Sandhill Cranes, create a crane costume and perform a crane dance; observe cultural crane dances from around the world.
